ActiveSync
Microsoft's ActiveSync is used to synchronise mail, calendars, contacts and sometimes other data between desktop PCs and mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets.
ActiveX
Introduced by Microsoft, ActiveX is a technology describing reusable software components. These components are effectively "baby programs" called "controls". ActiveX controls enables the integration of sound, Java applets and animations in a Web page. Always-on SSL
Always-on-SSL is the practice of implementing site wide SSL, including all pages, cookies and sessions being secured by SSL. It provides persistent protection to website visitors regardless of where they are in your site, how they're interacting with it, and what information is being shared.
Asymmetric encryption or Asymmetric cryptography
Asymmetric encryption or Asymmetric cryptography is a form of encryption where keys come in pairs. What one key (public key) encrypts, only the other (a corresponding private key) can decrypt.
Authcode
An authcode, or domain authorization code, is a unique code between 6 and 32 characters long, assigned by registrars to a domain name. It is designed to prevent fraudulent or unauthorized transfers.
Authentication
The process of determining whether someone or something is, in fact, who or what it is declared to be.
Authenticode
Authenticode is Microsoft's object signing system that allows the signing of all kinds of Windows executables and code including .exe, .cab, .dll, .ocx, and .xpi files. It also ensures that your code comes from a trusted source and hasn’t been changed since you signed it. CODESIGNING
