WHAT IS DOMAIN SLAMMING?
Domain slamming is a deceitful trick played by scammers. It involves contacting you months before your domain’s expiry date and claiming that it is in fact close to expiring and requesting immediate payment for renewal.
This tricks you into actually transferring your domain name to a different registrar. It’s an illegal method of getting you to transfer your domain to their register.
Scammers achieve this by discovering contact information in WHOIS information.
