Install your Digital ID and digitally sign your emails with Netscape Messenger

To install your Personal ID certificate and sign your emails with Netscape Messenger, please follow these instructions:

Install your Certificate

1. Open the Netscape Communicator Security Advisor by choosingSecurity Info from the Communicator menu.

2. Click on Messenger.

3. Select the certificate in the Certificate for your Signed and Encrypted Messages box.

4. Click OK.

Sign and Encrypt your email messages

1. Compose your message as usual.

2. Click on the Message Sending Option tab in the Composition window.

3. Enable the Signed and/or Encrypted checkbox(es).

4. Click on Send to send your message.

Automatically Sign All Outgoing Messages

1. Open the Netscape Communicator Security Advisor by choosing Security Info from the Communicator menu.

2. Click on Messenger.

3. Check the Sign mail messages, when it is possible and/or Sign news messages when it is possible under Sending Signed/Encrypted Mail if you want to.

4. Click OK.
